Tournament control

Open test page ↗ Live: what everyone sees. Test: a sandbox to rehearse or preview in.
Test mode Everything on this page, including the assistant, edits the test tournament. Public pages are untouched. Open test page ↗

Applications

Tier: 0 = Champs, 1 = Good, 2 = Decent, 3 = Rookies, 4 = Subs. Leave it on the suggestion and it is computed from their highest rank. Tick Captain for the people who should draft a team.

Application settings

Controls what people see on the Apply page.

How the flow works

1. Turn applications on and share aleksk9.com/apply (or the vercel link).
2. People log in with Twitch. If they do not follow the channel, they are asked to follow first.
3. Review them on the Applications tab: accept, set a tier, tick captains.
4. On the Tournament tab, build the next tournament from the accepted list. That sets the teams and pool and clears the old draft.
5. Turn applications off.

Tournament assistant

Tell it what the next tournament should look like. It can review and tier applicants, pick captains, build the tournament, and set the draft order, date and pick clock. Building always asks you to confirm.

Draft controls

Captains can only pick while the draft is open. Opening it starts the clock for the first pick.

When a captain's time runs out, the auto-pick button appears on the tournament page for admins. Nothing happens on its own.

Tournament date & time

When the tournament is played. Shown on the tournament page with a countdown, in Pacific time. The draft is opened separately with the controls on the left.

Enter the time as it is in Los Angeles. Leave the date empty to hide the countdown.

Draft order

Round 1 goes top to bottom, then the order flips every round (snake). Spin the wheel, put the captains in the order it lands on, then save. You can also fill the slots one at a time on the tournament page, where everyone sees them appear live. The draft cannot be opened until all slots are set, and the order can only be changed before the first pick.

    Build the next tournament

Uses every accepted applicant. Those ticked as Captain become the teams, ordered worst to best by hours (round 1 order). Everyone else goes into the pool with their tier. This clears all picks, matches, and stats.

    Fill the current tournament

Adds every accepted applicant who is not already a captain or in the pool to the current pool. Picks already made stay as they are. Use this when teams still need players.

    Danger zone

Reset clears picks, matches, and stats but keeps the teams and pool. Revert throws away the roster built from applications and goes back to the one in the site code.

    Twitch logins

Everyone who has logged in with Twitch on the site since this list was added. Use the dropdown to link a login to a player in the pool or a captain: their Twitch picture then shows on the draft board, and a linked captain gets their draft controls automatically.

    Add to the calendar

Shows on aleksk9.com/calendar. Times are entered in your time zone () and shown to everyone in theirs.

      Site theme

The holiday look of the whole site: colours, the logo, the dot art in the background and, for Thanksgiving and Christmas, falling leaves or snow. Switching takes effect for everyone within about 30 seconds. Use Preview to look around the site in a theme first; only you see it, in that tab, until you open any page with ?theme=live.

      AK9 Awards

Runs aleksk9.com/awards. Everything about the season is edited here.

No season yet. Open Settings and press "Start a new season".

      Live vote count

Only admins see this before the winners are published. It refreshes when you open this section, every 30 seconds while it is open, and when you press Refresh.

      Votes

      Pick the finalists

The names viewers typed for each award, most named first. Names that only differ by capitals, spaces or an @ count together. The top 3 are picked for you. Tap names to change that, then press Make finalists to put them on the voting ballot.

      Nomination submissions

      Awards and finalists

Edit any award's name and description, reorder them, and set the finalists. A finalist's Twitch login fills in their picture when you save. You can also paste a picture link instead.

      Wildcard awards

Picked by hand, not voted. They show after the voted awards on the reveal page and with the winners.

      Season

Pick the phase to move the season along: nominations, then voting, then show the winners on stream with the reveal page (its last screen publishes them to the site and the Hall of Fame).

Times are in your time zone (). With the phase on "Nominations open" and an open time in the future, the page counts down and opens by itself. When a deadline passes, that step closes by itself; you still switch the phase to move on.

      On stream and sharing

Finalists reveal (pumpkins) Finalists list (private) Winner reveal Print winner sheets

Before voting opens, show the finalists on stream with the finalists reveal: one pumpkin per finalist, smashed left to right. Keep the finalists list open on another screen; it has the same order and marks the next pumpkin. Its last screen can open voting. The winner reveal and the print sheets show the live results to admins, even before they are published.

      Unlisted results link

A secret link that shows this season's results before they are published, for co-hosts or helpers. Anyone with the link can see them, so turn it off when you're done.

      Season tools

A new season keeps the Hall of Fame. It can start from the standard AK9 Seasonal Awards list (16 awards), copy this season's awards, or start empty.

      All changes saved

      Spooktober

The Spooktober logo with the day of October under it. It switches to the next day at midnight by itself, so one browser source works all month. Outside October only the logo shows.

      1. In OBS, add a Browser source and paste the URL.
      2. Set Width 1200 and Height 520, then resize it on your scene however you like.
      3. The day follows the streaming PC's clock. To use another time zone add ?tz=America/New_York (or any time zone) to the URL.

      Tournament board

Read-only draft and match board for the stream.

      Who can do what

Add people by Twitch username. Captains can draft for their team, helpers enter scores and stats, admins can do everything. People set in the site config or in Vercel are listed but can only be changed there.

        Stats lookup test

Try the stats lookup on any player to check it is working. Needs the R6 Arenyze API key in Vercel.

        Tip

When you build a tournament from applications, the captains get their team role automatically from their Twitch login. You only need this tab for helpers, extra admins, or a last-minute captain swap.
